Carl S
Does not look like there is much lift over drag there. You sure it is a flying dog?

Ksaunders
Take a look at soft sided dog kennels. They come in all sizes, they collapse flat and you can easily get them in and out of your plane. Perfect for most dogs, comfortable for them and very light in weight. I have a really cool Malti-Poo that has been by my side for 14 years. He is a PRO in every car (Nose into the wind no matter the weather or speed) and in my Ranger bass boat doing 70+ down the lake with his sniffer in the wind as well. First ride in the pattern.......he jumped under the passenger seat where 75% of his body remained for the entire loop. A well adjusted dog in a car or boat does not always make for a well adjusted dog in the plane. I would always recommed a safety crate for his comfort and your safety. It was a very poor call on my part and could have been ugly for both of us. Now the wife.....when flying in IFR, a majority of her can be found 75% under the passenger seat as well. Wonder if they make a big enough soft sided kennel with curtains?
jetdriven
Speaking of flying dogs, this (female) pooch (retriever mix) we just got does not have a name, and we are taking suggestions. Something aviation themed.

skyking
I have 2 german Sheps and the only problem i have flying with them is the darn nose prints all over my back windows! Sheba hates the windshield wipers on the car and will attack them when turned on and that problem was transferred to a turning prop when you are just starting up. SHe barks at it like mad but once the prop is turning she settles down. They both love to fly and run to the plane when we are going anywhere. jetdriven
I was thinking Laika or Muttnik, but that got kabashed. Rudder sounds too much like "cylinder" "crankshaft" or some other machine part. Who is Michelle? Sounds too much like an ex-girlfriend name. I read somewhere you should not name and airport dog "Clear" !

gjkirsch
I have a carrin tarrier and a dog seat that hangs on the back seat. The dog wears a walking harness that attaches to the seat. The dog sits in it nicely and tyically goes to sleep. Had a minitaure schnauser prior and did just as well. FWIW my wife sits in the back with the dog. dcrogers11
My dog Max commutes with me wearing his body harness attached to the lap belt and his ear protection. He doesn't seem to mind now as much as he did the first time he went with me.

carusoam
Sit Mooney, stay.... Come Mooney.... Good Mooney..... Mooney, eat Cessna for breakfast...! If the dog is slim and athletic, I think it would be safe to name the dog Mooney. If he is expensive, chubby, and slow, go with Cirrus. Best regards, -a-
jetdriven
Thats even funnier than naming her Beech.
