DonMuncy Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 At one time, I found a cheap source for K type CHT probes for my JPI engine monitor. A place in Marble Falls, Texas, called Overnite Supply LLC. They have changed their name and (at least for me) are not returning my calls. Does anyone know of another source other than paying JPI over $100 each for probes? Quote
carusoam Posted July 22, 2020 Report Posted July 22, 2020 There must be plenty of industrial sources.... which may work for non-primary type instruments... Aircraft Spruce may have some from a variety of vendors non JPI.... They will all be marked with the type of thermocouple they are... in this case K-type... Compared to TIT and EGT, the CHT’s environment is a cake-walk... They usually last a really long time... Best regards, -a- Quote
buddy Posted July 22, 2020 Report Posted July 22, 2020 I just bought one from Aircraft Spruce for my M20R with the G1000 for $95.90. It was an ALCOR 86252 if that helps. 1 Quote
carusoam Posted July 23, 2020 Report Posted July 23, 2020 To add To what else is out there to the mix.... There are J type and variations on the wiring, and the tip... https://www.mcfarlaneaviation.com/products/product/86252/ Just extra info to watch out for... The standard price of 0.1 AMU seems to be everywhere... Best regards, -a- Quote
