Seriously.  A friend of mine from CHD just called hearing I was thinking about selling.  He sold his C a year ago when he got laid off.  He just got a new job, but he's going to be based in San Diego.  His wife is going to be staying here for about a year, so he needs a commuter. 

He offered me a little more than I wanted.  

And I can keep it till mid-end of June while he gets stuff in order. 

 

I'm not surprised. I think along the same lines as you mentioned in your other previous post. If I was looking I would just keep ending up back at your plane after looking at the others on the market. Eventually I would probably convince myself that even though the engine is over TBO, that really it is like a mid-time engine and worth the gamble that I would get another 1000 hours out of it. A few more times looking at the other ratty ones out there and I would be contacting you to make an offer and try to take it off your hands.

Sometimes things just work out.  Got any pictures of that panel. Sorry you'll be leaving the Mooney family.  Hopefully you will stick around on Mooney space enjoy the hunt for your next chariot.

Not shocked that it moved fast.   Somebody on the south side of DVT with a Cherokee was looking to move up to a Mooney or Bonanza and they were interested as well.    I'll break the bad news.

You just made me feel REALLY good about my M20F...EXACTLY the same engine story: PO found cracked case and replaced along with new cam, lifters, bearings, etc. but didn't spend the coin to call it an overhaul.  So, I'm over TBO, as well. I've got the STEC-30 with alt. hold, 430W, slaved Stormscope, speed brakes, a G3 Insight and all the speed mods.  Paint's decent.  I paid tens of thousands less....maybe my plane IS an INVESTMENT
