66’ M20e.

Flap release cable snapped today just behind the lever. Hoping I can slide a new wire in the housing so I don’t need to source and run a new cable.

I’m having a hard time finding a “just the wire” supplier. Any tips on where to find this?

Do you know if it’s the same size as the indicators?  I bought some recently, should just be piano wire or music wire.

check the diameter size, I might have some.

but yeah, you should be able to do just that

Also you can order another push pull cable with the same size inner wire and use the just the inner wire.

Check you local small aviation engine shop or your local aviation hardware store.  Get own long enough the trim and shape to fit.

I have this one on the way from McMaster:

They only had the Matte finish in the right size.  Hopefully it is smooth enough to work.  I should get it tomorrow.  I'll let you guys know if it works.

PART NUMBER 05-14300 cable assembly (knob, outer and inner cable) from Aircraft Spruce has an inner 0.055 cable. 8 footer is 20 bucks. Use the whole thing or just the inner. Its cheap enough

I assume you managed to get it fixed!?

We want to replace ours but struggle to get access to where it attaches to the lever. How much stuff did you take apart to replace it?
