During my annual inspection we found some play in the flap attachment fitting where it attaches to the wing.

I have attached a photo with the part in question marked with the arrow.

My problem is two fold:

1. I can't seem to find the part number from the Mooney IPC

2. How do we gain access to the area to either repair or replace the part

Any help would be appreciated.

Spar cracks and flap attachment points come up in conversation every now and then...

Searching on stub spar and other words that are related might be helpful...

@M20Doc might be helpful finding what you are looking for...

Thanks Clarence, I see the offending parts are 1-22 and 1-29. 

Is access gained by drilling out the Avex pop rivets?

You’ll have to remove portions of the gap seal until you access the bolts and nuts.
