  1. Thanks Clarence, I see the offending parts are 1-22 and 1-29. Is access gained by drilling out the Avex pop rivets?
  2. During my annual inspection we found some play in the flap attachment fitting where it attaches to the wing. I have attached a photo with the part in question marked with the arrow. My problem is two fold: 1. I can't seem to find the part number from the Mooney IPC 2. How do we gain access to the area to either repair or replace the part Any help would be appreciated. Bruce
  3. Wreckage Found CBC news reports a BC air ambulance helicopter spotted wreckage on Monday.RCMP confirms it is C-FESN
  4. Question for Clarence: Would this type of modification be approved by Transport Canada? Thanks Bruce
  5. I also have a 1989 201. I ordered bulbs from spruce but they were the wrong ones. I think there may be an issue with the IPC. After doing some research I found the right one. For my aircraft Whelen bulb A50828 worked fine. There is no corrosion on my socket
  6. I had a similar problem earlier this summer on my 1989 M20J. The electric trim failed and the autopilot could not hold any vertical mode. On the ground the autopilot test failed. The problem was intermittent. With help from info posted mostly on this forum, I was able to trace the problem to a failed autopilot disconnect switch mounted on the pilot yoke. Mooney was also very helpful by providing the autopilot wiring diagrams. Switch can be ordered from Digikey, or if you prefer your local Honeywell dealer.
  7. Greg is correct. I am an instrument procedure designer in Canada. An RCAP approach is restricted by op spec. Only a commercial operator can obtain an op spec from TC. Usually the issue is climb gradient or airport certification
