Adding arm rest to your chair

Hi all!

Have been doing quite a bit of long boring x-country flight lately and I always miss having the arm rest so I can truly sit back and relax! 

Wonder if it's legal to modify your seat to add in an arm rest and if so has anyone here did that?

We had to improvise... Here was my solution for a short-body E. There is a extension that can go on front or swap it around and you can put the drink holder on the front side.

I flew a 310 to KCRQ last Sunday. You can really get spoiled. Your right arm just sits on the arm rest with your hand resting on the throttles, or not. Oh if it only burned 10 GPH....

Whats the model of the arm rest call and where can you buy one? How do you fit it so it's secure?

Actually looking at flip up arm rest rather than central console type.

Would love to have something like this on long flights.  Would also make access to the manual trim wheel and speed brakes easy.
