comanche Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 one of the oil line fittings on my M20-J needs replaced. I don't know if this is enough information but it is a 90 degree elbow and the markings at the hose end has MS27 223 -8.The fitting end has AS4370. Where can I get one? Aircraft Spruce didn't recognize the numbers. Thanks. Quote
Steve Dawson Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Try an aftermarket race shop such as Summit or Jegs. They use these fittings in high pressure fluid applications and come in aluminum and steel. They're made by companies such as Russell, Aeromotive, Aeroquip, Earls. Very strong and in most cases easily adaptive. Saying that I'm unsure if you have to have an A&P install the new line. www.jegs.com and www.summitracing.com Quote
comanche Posted March 19, 2011 Author Report Posted March 19, 2011 opps, should have said my IA is doing the annual but had a death in the family so I was ordering all the consumables and this fitting that we found bad...so it will be done by an A&P/IA. Quote
Kwixdraw Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 Try Sacramento Sky Ranch. They build all kinds of hoses and test them properly. You may want to think about replacing the entire hose if it has a lot of time on it. They are supposed to be replaced every five years anyway. Quote
