Hi guys.

Moving to NC in about a month.   Anyone have any recommendations for an independent IA with mooney experience in the RDU area or ILM (Wilmington) area?  I really like the relationship I have with my current IA where he allows me to do much if not all the work supervised

I know that Bob like Lynn a lot, probably looking for something closer to home and my current relationship.  Been to the big shops and that's ok, but would like to be involved in the Maintenance more than most of those are willing to allow

Thanks!

If you've had enough experience with your plane to do most of the work you should be able to get a T hangar on a field where you can work with an A&P/IA. I don't know where that might be in the Triangle or Wilmington areas but there are several Mooney owners on MS based in around there who should be able to help. And when you need Mooney specific work MRN is about an hour from RDU. Gear, rigging, lubrication seem to be the areas not properly handled by more generalist oriented A&Ps.
