There are a couple of Mooneys scheduled to make the trip (including mine). eman1200 Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 interesting. I got confused when she said it'll take a couple of hours to get from shelby county to gatlinburg, but when I looked it up, it's shelby county alerbama, not shelby county north carolina.

AaronDC8402 Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 The Nashville IMC club is planning a fly-in to KGKT Sat Jan 28 as well to see the museum that's on the field. I'm likely not going to make it. Might make for a busy Saturday at the airport.
Hank Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 At least there's lots of parking. The museum ramp alone will hold almost 20 planes. At the MS flyin there a few years ago, I was into the wind going down and had to use "overflow parking" uphill at the FBO. May have to go back again . . .

Brandontwalker Posted January 16, 2017 Author Report Posted January 16, 2017 Our first wave of planes should be arriving at around 10:00 AM EST. Our group is staying at the Quality Inn and they are providing everyone staying there with ground transportation to town.
