M016576 Posted October 3, 2016 Report Posted October 3, 2016 As some of you know, I'm a pretty big fan of FlyQ efb. Seattle Avionics recently released version 2.4, which adds wifi integration with my Avidyne IFD440 for flight plan transfer, as well as documents and a few other nice new features. Over the three years I've been using FlyQ, Seattle Avionics has been very responsive with suggestions to upgrade, quick and personal responses to feedback and inputs, and, compared to the competition, they occasionally run some pretty Smokin deals for an EFB. Anyway, they are currently running a promotion- $39 for a full year of IFR/VFR subscription. Here's the link if anyone is interested- http://conta.cc/2dsOJUd Im not affiliated with Seattle Avionics in any way- nor am I receiving any compensation- I'm just a very pleased customer that likes this product. YMMV Quote
midlifeflyer Posted October 3, 2016 Report Posted October 3, 2016 I also recently received an email for a 1-year student pilot subscription for $20. And if you are a CFI, call them about their regular CFI discount program. Quote
NotarPilot Posted October 3, 2016 Report Posted October 3, 2016 Wow! Thanks for posting this. I definitely jumped on this offer. Question: Are you seeing the ability to do flight plan transfers between your 440 now? I heard that feature would only be available with the 10.2 upgrade. Quote
M016576 Posted October 3, 2016 Author Report Posted October 3, 2016 I can link into my IFD440's wifi right now and use its gps position- but I have to wait for 10.2 to do the flight plan transfers..... any day now.... Quote

Yeah, I've been waiting for any day now for a month. Avidyne said "about six weeks" at Airventure. Going on 9 weeks now. 1 Quote

Thom Posted November 23, 2016 Report Posted November 23, 2016 I have been using FlyQ efb for a couple years now with a portable ADS-B receiver. Just installed the panel-mounted L3 Lynx 9000 ADS-B in my M20E two weeks ago and love the the seamless interaction between FlyQ on my iPad and the Lynx. Also like the way the Seattle Avionics CEO, Steve, will personally respond to a question you may have or technical issue. Here is a link to their "black Friday" deals: https://conta.cc/2g3IwAe if you are so inclined. I am also not affiliated with Seattle Avionics and paid for all my own gear & subscriptions. 1 Quote
Bolter Posted November 23, 2016 Report Posted November 23, 2016 +1 for great support/service from Seattle Avionics. Not associated with company. Just a happy customer for many years of flying with their products, from Voyager (many years ago) to FlyQ, today. -dan Quote
Cruiser Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 I "spoke" with Steve today via email. He asks that all of those that are using other flight planners (or none at all) take a fresh look at FlyQ. He is offering some incredible incentives to give his product a try. Quote
M016576 Posted November 24, 2016 Author Report Posted November 24, 2016 (edited) Lifetime subscriptions are being offered for FlyQ this Black Friday. I jumped on this 3 years ago and couldn't be happier with the product, and it's capability. $400 for a lifetime subscription? That was an easy decision for me... I've already saved over 200-300 bucks on a foreflight subscription... and I'll have this product for at least another 10 years. Great deal... but they only open this up for the first 100 people to pounce! Download the trial: you'll see the value. Here's the link- https://conta.cc/2g3IwAe Edit: also- if you have chart data for an aspen setup: lifetime subscription to chart updates for $750 bucks. If only Jepp would be that reasonable with their NavData..... Edited November 24, 2016 by M016576 1 Quote
carusoam Posted November 24, 2016 Report Posted November 24, 2016 Seattle does the blue dot on approach plates for WingX. Wonder if they have a special for that... Best regards, -a- Quote
NotarPilot Posted November 25, 2016 Report Posted November 25, 2016 $399 for a lifetime subscription is a great deal! Too bad I just paid for their one year trial subscription for $39 just last month. Quote

About a year if so ago. other than that, yes, there are lifetime deals for ChartData used by a number of devices, including Aspen and Dynon panels. https://seattleavionics.com/eCommerce/Buy1.aspx?CouponCode=BF2016Email2&email= Quote
