And the TKS system is more useable than the lead Charlie weights it replaces...:)  (Unfinished old post...)

Keep in mind....

The Hartzell comes in three versions thick, thin, and composite.  Three weights to choose from...

The four blade MT looks nice on Erik's Rocket.  In a P51 sort of way.

There are not that many of the four blade MTs in circulation on Mooneys.  It took a longer time than expected to get their paperwork in order for the O.  They had it on the Bravo first...

There had been one issue of paint sticking or not sticking to the metal leading edge.  Check into the details to see if the prop you are consider has nickel or stainless and if paint is an issue.

If the Two blade prop is fast in cruise,  we can probably expect the four blade to have increased drag below the FLs.   It is a similar discussion of two vs three blade props on the lower hp engines.

310 hp starts to become too much power to deliver on too little prop.

Go acclaim, four blade composite prop, with TKS, D-Day stripes, and use the FLs...  (Dreaming of course)

Lots of details...

Best regards,

You can compare the pictures of MT prop paint vs the pictures below.  Note this prop has over 1800 hrs on it with a fair amount of IMC time including icing conditions.  The reason I've added these pictures to the thread is to show the top prop investment will look / perform good for many years...
