I will be getting my front seats and back bench today from the upholster for my aircraft interior redo. He is telling me that on the back bench, the holes for the headrest are there, but no tubing as far as he can tell in the back bench, hence causing the headrest to move around and not stable at all. That is not a problem with the front seats that seem to have the holes and the required tubing to hold the headrests in place.

Is there a way to fix that without changing the back bench ?

Just wondering, it's not a big deal since I don't sit in the back of my plane often, but just wondering.

If the support holes are on the back bench already...

Test the fit of the front headrests in the back bench support holes.

The nice thing about Mooney seats....

- many have the support holes that fit some pretty nice automotive headrest hardware...

- use the automotive headrest and get them updated to match your seats by the same guy.

Search this site for Toyota headrests or grand caravan headrests

How does that sound?

Yeah, they did a wonderful job at an amazing price.

I will be doing a Pirep about my full interior redo project in the upcoming days, the end result is pretty great...

Wow!! Looks great!! I second the automotive head rests. I dragged my old front seat around a salvage yard and tried about 50 different head rests until I found the perfect fit and style I wanted the I had them reupholstered. Good luck. Troy

Thans Matt, that is where we will put all of the documents, we have a binder size pouch that contains the journey log and all needed document, so by putting the binder bag into the back seat pouch, it would be easy access
