The older birds use the same basic structure for the fuel tanks….

Where things changed significantly is the type of fuel cap, and what it is mounted in that made a difference….

The 65s with flush caps were near 52gals…

 

Everybody has the responsibility to test this factoid for themselves before relying on it….  So many variables can creep in over the years… like a simple blockage of rib drain holes….


It is so important… that the LBs have it written in at least three places…

1) On the fuel gauges in the instrument panel…

2) On the fuel selector valve…

3) Next to the fuel cap…

Run the tank out, then test your refilling skills… for each tank…   :)
