New iPad Air and Mini coming out today

Apple is going to debut a new iPad Air and mini today. I hope it is worth the wait. I'd like to see a sd card slot but I doubt that will happen. It is rumored to have more ram and Touch ID.

I wonder if it will be worthwhile to get a new mini for yoke mounting.

if you don't already have a mini, I'd recommend it.  It fits very well on the yoke mounts without obstructing too much of the panel.

I'm hoping to avoid a new iPad of any size until there is a glare-free screen.

 

Don't expect a card slot on an Apple tablet or phone unless Apple changes it's basic philosophy of offering a closed system.

I use a protective screen film that is also anti glare

BTDT. It was worse with the anti-glare screen than with it. Pulled it off and crumpled it while I was flying so I sound see the screen better.

 

I had one for my iPad 1 and it worked pretty well. But for the iPad 3, the cure was worse than the disease.

I had one for my iPad 1 also and it worked ok, but slowed down the touch screen functions of that iPad somewhat.  I haven't bothered with one since then.  I have had an iPad 3 and now a 4.  I have a kneeboard, it works great and if the sun is bright for some reason I can just tip the iPad to make the glare go away, but being below the panel glare is usually not an issue.

works well for my mini, a PIA to install, I have my brightness turn down as well,

iPad Air 2 has new non-glare screen.  No mention for the new Mini 3.

Still have my IPad 2 and it's running strong. Do want to get a mini at some point as the upgrade.

I purchased the Ipad2 3 years ago - 2011 over the summer. Maybe we'll make it 4 years until the mini upgrade.

Anyone getting rid of a lightly used mini let me know.

Turns out there is no innovation in the mini except for Touch ID. Probably going to buy an older mini retina for the yoke or maybe just use my lg g2 phone but it's not quite big enough.
