BigTex Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 If I had the time, I'd buy it for parts. It would be a great part-out plane. 1 Quote
rdman Posted May 14, 2014 Author Report Posted May 14, 2014 Did you ask him if he would give it to you or for a low price? Sometimes people are motivated and will accept less just because they are tired dealing with it. No I didn't. I know if I was asking 12K and someone offered me basically nothing I would be offended. Unfortunately it will probably never fly again. The current owner should just part it out himself. 1 Quote
carusoam Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Choice one: pay asking price and take your sweet time finishing it.... Choice two: ask for for a free plane promising the owner that you will rebuild and fly it.... Choice one is the lower cost out if you run out of ability to finish. The only free planes that I am familiar with are supplied by a family member like Uncle Sam or Dad. Either one has a few strings attached... Keep both eyes open in your negotiations, -a- Quote
