  1. That’s all I got to say about this. Good luck George. You’ll be back. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  2. Bahamas do accept it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  4. I heard that if you screwed this up, you would run really lean of peak
  5. I hope the guy buying your airplane didn’t read that :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. Bob, If the selector portion is leaking that is a different issue and best left to a pro to rebuild it. What we are talking about here is the sump portion of the fuel selector valve. It is the low point in the fuel system and contains a metal screen and the pull tab you see in the cockpit. Where they can leak are in two areas. The round sump bowl is the thing in the above pictures with the safety wire attached to it. It contains a large rubber gasket. The bolt that has a safety wire attached to it has a, no known to me, stato washer on it. The other area is the actual plunger assembly. There are a couple of O rings on the plunger assembly. This is where mine was leaking.
  7. What you are describing is exactly why laws like Sarbanes-Oxley were created. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  8. We rebuilt the drain sump (Terry is a local IA and Mooney owner) using the kit we purchased from Lasar. Kit cost (full kit) cost $60. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Must have been a terrible impact to cause you to bank left 90°
  10. Other than trying to find missing stuff and the “where does this go?” stuff, doing a grounds up restoration in many ways makes up for the sins of the hacks who worked on it over the years - especially the wiring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. How the heck did you get a picture of me removing a tip?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. Speaking of pop up TFRs. I have the Lynx 9000 that feeds my Aspens. I remember actually seeing the activation of a TFR once while in flight. It startled me even though I had gotten an email notification that it was coming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. Whatcha complaining about? Think about all those sights you saw duct taped to the belly of that Bonanza. The view had to be spectacular.
  14. Those are the same speeds I have 109 KIAS for VFo/VFe and 104 KIAS for VLo/VLe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. You ever get your temp issue under control? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Anthony was duct taped to the under belly. He was fine when he got back. Still writing long responses on MooneySpace in rote format. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  17. I have both Halos and Clarity Alofts. I find I wear the Clarity more than the Halo. Simple reason is the wire band. The only thing I don’t like is the way the tips attach. I carry a pair of fine needle nose pliers with me for those days when the tips come off in the ear canal. Makes for a funny Marauder moment watching him pull the tip out of the ear. 18. I’m in a conference in a room with 70 people. It went off for all of us. Was quite amusing since a number people didn’t silence their phones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. I have a roll of paper towels in the plane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. Phil when I spoke to him last was still having difficulties finding qualified people to make them. That was last year. Sounds like he still is having the same issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. I used to go to KMQS’s restaurant a fair amount until Signature took it over. They initially were charging a $10 landing fee just to go to the restaurant. The backlash eventually saw them eliminate it but not before the restaurant shutdown, presumably because of the non-ending rumors of the landing fee. I do a fair amount of approach practice there. One afternoon the guy running the Signature desk got on the frequency (recognized his voice) and asked for my full N number. Was he trying to charge me for using the airspace? 22. Good luck! When I was sitting here at KBNA waiting for a ride to the hotel, I looked the FBOs up. It looks like Atlantic and Signature are both here. Both have over $7 gas prices. The airport is large. I didn’t see any GA landing or taking off but that doesn’t mean anything. I can’t believe how built up and crazy Nashville traffic is. I was here in 2001 and it has changed a lot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  23. I am not allowed to fly my plane for work, so I have no choice but to be a heathen. [emoji48] I’m usually on United, an airline that you can’t get much closer to being processed like an animal headed for slaughter. I was a bit surprised at what I found on Southwest. Seats, even though I don’t have frequent flyer status with them, were nice and roomy. I remember the open seating boarding but was happy that I found an empty row. Of course, flying to Nashville mid-week might be the reason but it sure beats the United sardine can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  24. I also forgot to mention I’m flying Southwest today. First time in maybe 10 years. Didn’t realize that Southwest is this popular in Philly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  25. And by the way, very sad to hear you are selling. You’ll end up being shunned.
