  1. No Sir, The "B" hub or the Oil-filled mod on the "A" hub are the only thing that Terminate the 100hr Eddy current inspection. When we were first blessed with this AD, it had a Calendar time as well. That has been super-ceded with time only now. I get calls about this AD all the time. It is something that should not be over looked, a crack is serious buisness
  2. N97353. Belongs to Garrett Frost. Contact Frost flying service in Marrianna Ark. 870-295-6213
  3. I think it's a great idea.
  4. Did the hub make it through inspection?
  5. Is the third blade scrap?
  6. Agent Orange
  7. While I don't have any stories of Control line planes or Cox .049 engines, I Started with a 4 channel Futaba an a OS engine. That Radio an engine made its home in 6 Trainers, where it lived for a short period of time before it was time to move to the next trainer. I have been into the models for 11 yrs now, an have loved every second of it. I like many sorta pulled back when the Cessna 150 came along that I could ride in showed up, but now I'm back at it. I'm into the Gas powered models now, do to ease of operation. An yes 100LL is in the fuel tanks...
  8. Okay, so your looking for the hartzell..... I do not have a "B" hub to build you a non-AD hub with, but I do have the blades. Would you be Intreasted in a Factory new propeller?
  9. What kinda propeller you want? I can get ya whatever brand you want. You want a C430 McCauley 3 blade, Hartzell 2 Blade or Hartzell 3 blade?
  10. It was good working with you Bodie, Thanks. Bob, yes you should balance your propeller. Anytime something changes on the rotating assembly of your aircraft balance is a good idea.I balance my propeller after I grease it, which is every 100 hrs. I understand that's a little excessive.
  11. Let's talk About the propeller bolts. I'm not trying to point any fingers, but. These 6 bolts are grossly neglected. We worry about out Cams an Crankshafts, an we worry about our propellers., But time after time the bolts go un inspected...... With our constant speed propellers, you get new mounting hardware every time it is Overhauled. When I overhaul a fixed pitch, I have to ask to have the bolts. Most of the time I don't get them though. Owner will say they are fine. The reality is, most of the bolts that are securing the fixed pitch propeller to a flange, are the original bolts that came with the plane. I removed a propeller from a Cessna 177 that had a break away tourqe of 90ft.lb..... Factory spec is 28-30ft.lb. Thes bolts are over tourqed, stretched an corroded. As long as they are in one piece, they get re-installed. These bolts need to be Mag tested, checked for stretch, an replated.... Your propeller is only as good as what's holding it on. Just my 2 pennies
  12. Dynamic propeller balance is a must for the rough running 4 cyld engine. The Repairstation I work for provides this service. You see many happy customers after you balance their propellers. Well worth it. My 2 cents.
  13. 13 yrs past it's Calender recommended O/H time. I would want to have a couple Service Bullitens complied with. Defiantly the SB to have the "pitch change knobs" shotpeened. There have been a few shear off in flight.
  14. Precision @ KBVX. They are a Avionics Repair station... Good shop.
  15. Look up frost flying service in marrianna ark. (South west of Memphis)Garrett frost has a nice 252 he wants to move.
  16. OR75, Eric at Golden State propeller can fix you up with a Balance. Good guy to deal with.
  17. Yes Bob, you will need another dynamic balance. Anytime you fool with the Propeller, Cylinders, Mags an spinner, it's a good idea. Cause a change in any of those 4 thinks can throw off the balance. When Doing the runs while your propeller is being balance be sure an lean to try to make it as smooth as you can. Cause take it from me, it's a pain in the tail to try an balance a propellers when it's slobbering rich.
  18. You bolted on the finest propeller offered for Mooneys. I strongly recommend a Dynamic Balance. What part of the country are you in?
  19. The Eddy current inspection is every 100hrs, there is no Calender time anymore. If you wanna stay away from the AD, make sure the hub has a B in the serial number.
  20. The 200 series McCauley on a J has to be matted with a Counter weighted Crankshaft. The A1A engine in the E&F does not have counter weights. The Hartzell propellers can be bolted to both.
  21. Which 2 Blade are you looking for?
  22. They work great, my boss wears one every time we go flying.
  23. Many Thanks for the good word Steve.
