  1. Watch this gear up landing
  2. What did you do with your white aft facing wing tip position light? What model AVEO LED did you have installed? Looks great!
  3. Avidyne IFD540 or Garmin GTN 650/750 Series? What do you think? There is still a chance to put a deposit on New Avidyne $10,000. I was wondering what other Mooney Drivers think.
  4. Great new page Mike!
  5. I have a recommendation for Android apps, buy an Ipad.
  6. I see people are using designers, sometimes using a designer another mooneyspace user used but ommitted that designers name. What are the names of the good paint scheme designers?
  7. The 696 is a little big but works, I put it on the Co-pilot yoke turn where I can see it on my J. I think the 796 is smaller and I would prefer a little smaller.
  8. Raleigh Executive Jetport (KTTA) , Wings of Carolina Flying Club has 2 Mooney M20Js. Maybe you could get intouch with one of their CFIs. Telephone the club at 919-776-2003. http://wingsofcarolina.org

  10. Above message was me, not Scott ------------------------------------------ Try Myrtle Beach, (MYR or CRE). I live in Myrtle Beach. It is still the off season so you can get really great rates. Lots to do here and the beach is great. I think Sat will be nice but a little cool. King
  11. Consider North Myrtle Beach (CRE),has a tower, great runway, easy in and out there. Need use crew car and i suggest Greg Normans in Barefoot Landing or another restaurant at Barefoot Landing. http://www.bflanding.com/dining/102-greg-normans-australian-grille Myrtle Beach (MYR), has a tower, use GA side in Myrtle Beach, has SS 5.47/gal. Has great new very nice FBO building. It is a short walk to Market Common which is a very neat area with many restaurants and shops, try Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Gordan Beirsch, or PF Changs for lunch. I am based at MYR. http://www.marketcommonmb.com/businessdirectory.php
  12. nice, enjoyed
  13. Today (Sat) after disengaging my autopilot, put the flaps down went to adjust trim and electric trim was very slow and heavy control pressure, i thought it was not working because used to move much faster. On the ground i saw it move but really slow on the panel display.
  14. Someone post a scan of the cover, cant wait to see it
  15. Nice models!
  16. What is best Color to do panels with SEM product? How did you spray the paint on the panels?
  17. Have found caulk solution, 3M Strip Caulk 08578. Soft non-hardening caulking material in one foot lengths for use in all types of seams, joints and openings. This product is easily thumbed into place and smoothed with a finger. Link: http://3mcollision.com/3m-strip-calk-08578-black.html
  18. Quote: Piloto On filament type light bulbs the best way to verify they are good is using an ohmeter to measure resistance (less than 10 ohms) or applying the rated voltage directly to them. I would check and clean all the wire connectors to the lights. Contact oxidation is a common cause that interrupts current flow. José
  19. Mine says use RTV (I thought on lens base) in IPC, and caulk as well inside "cover" to stop water i thought, see legend photo. I have some black tacky goop on the lens cover and airframe, see other photo. thanks King
  20. Quote: kortopates My K model IPC calls out RTV102 which is a silicone rubber ahesive sealant. These days there are better non-corrosive silicone sealants for electrical apps such as RTV3145 available from Spruce http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/cmpages/dowCorningRTV3145.php but pricey and probably overkill for this. The 28V K model uses H35W28V bulb (Halogen 35 watt 28volt) and TP39 socket but your IPC will show the correct Whelen part #'s. Be careful, although the bulbs are available from Whelen, the TP39 sockets the leads fit into are not and are real hard to find. However, its sounds like your issue is more likely wiring if there is no voltage at the sockets.
  21. What kind of caulk is on the Glass Lens, Was white on my lens I think that holds the glass securely. Any ideas? Also had some black caulk under Alum. peice, I assume to keep water out? anyone change these?
