  1. My plane had Aspen 1000 Pro, EA-100 driving KAP-150. Setup worked fine. It had a G-5 for backup. No vacuum system at all.
  2. I think someone has posted a print file. But the one I got from Sporty's was 3D printed.
  3. LOP is easy. 14.9 HP per gallon per hour most NA engines. 13.7 for turbo.
  4. Exactly. My point was that there is SOME power applied when the Master is switched on.
  5. Slight correction. the M4 and M4AI Shermans used the R-985, which is the same engine as the Beech 18, not the C-47.
  6. "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth” - Sherlock Holmes You have checked everything, EXCEPT the magneto itself.....
  7. Except for the cost of flying it.
  8. I think that may be a startup thing, to not charge for making a batch. In 2020, about 412 thousand gallons of AVGAS were burned PER DAY. Or about 150 million per year. So even at 1 cent per gallon, GAMI would be making 1.5 million per year for just licensing making G100UL. 10 cents per gallon would be 15 million. GAMI doesn't need to charge much per gallon to make some nice money.
  9. None and nothing. Just like no one polices you using MOGAS. But, your insurance company might have a say if you have a mishap that is fuel related.
  10. I do know that the AEIO-360-B2F (180 HP) can use 91/96 avgas. At least according to the placards and POH for my CAP-10.
  11. Except that several major players in the petroleum market have tried and failed and stopped trying.
  12. AV-20S. You have your main AHARS and a back up. What if they disagree?
  13. I would contact @Parker_Woodruff What I recall of what he has said is that changing or new policy on retract after 70 is hard to do. So now is a good time to change to a carrier that WILL cover you after 70.
  14. For people a bit more north, there is Smart Avionics at N71. PA near Lancaster. I am very happy with my experience with them.
  15. Power goes from gauge to inboard sender to outboard sender to ground. You need to check both senders and make sure there is not a short to ground. Each sender has a resistance range of 0 - 30 ohm (empty to full range).
  16. What dates are you looking at? Will you work a group rate for the resort? If so, I suggest that it allows Thursday arrival and Monday departure. I am interested in attending, if the weather lets me get there.
  17. We have heard from some. And silence from others. Remembering that people are more likely to complain than praise, there are a few issues with a few airplanes. And NO reports of any issues with O-rings.
  18. Two different things. EPA and state and local governments are going after 100LL. We have been burning it for decades on an exemption. Knowing that the exemption was not permanent. So, right now you have one choice for a UL aviation fuel for the entire fleet. If 100LL is banned, you have two choices. Use G100UL or not fly. If it was so easy to develop a fuel that is total drop in, without ANY issues, don't you think that someone would have done so???? The government has thrown millions of your tax dollars at the problem. How many solutions came out of that?
  19. This ^^^^^^^ But it may have an effect on making the regulations say exactly what the agency wants, rather than being loose and having them change the interpretations at a whim.
  20. The process is that the regulations are based on the laws. The Chevron ruling deals with how the agency deals with how they interpret the regulations they right.
  21. So again, there is power from the master to open the Com relay.
  22. And think if there is any other wiring you may want later. I had my shop put in a wire to power a SureFly from the battery. Took maybe 5 - 10 minutes and some wire. That will save 5 hours of shop time (remove and replace interior to run the wire) when I do install a SureFly (maybe this annual coming up).
  23. It is funny. I see mostly people without YD saying it is not needed. Most people WITH the YD, say it is great. I would make sure the shop wired for the YD, then if you want to add it later, you can just install the servo and configure.
