  1. Anyone have a servicable or yellow tagged engine mount part # 590000 or 590000-509 Just found a crack in mine......
  2. Thanks for all the input i think I am going to go with a 175, I just want to make sure everything is going to fit in a single stack. It will be tight but I think/hope it will all fit… mill post some pictures once I get started..
  3. I’ll start of by clarifying that I am a lower time VFR pilot with the intention of eventually getting my instrument rating. my current panel is a KX-155 w glide slope, 196 comm, and 327 transponder. Most everything I do I via ForeFlight and the sentry. I am thinking I would like to get a decent navigator and possibly use my plane as my IFR trainer but I don’t think this is my “forever” plane and don’t want to double my investment into the panel. if I get a decent used 430w I could get rid of the 155 and free up some space in the stack and the 430 can legally “drive” by Brittian AccuTrack/Accuflight but I am putting in outdated equipment that support may be limited on. if I go with the 175 my panel will get a little crammed/busy with everything in single stack but it all should fit. A 175 is about the same as a used 430W but should be much newer tech and be supported for quite a while yet. The only real downfall is that I don’t think it can legally drive the Brittian. I am trying to find a solution that is both budget friendly and is something my A&P can do as I don’t want to have to go to a avionics shop for this go round, but definitely would if it where to be a more complete upgrade. anything thing I am missing in all this?
  4. not sure but i did bid on it at salvage. It had a lot of nice equipment with it and a nice set of 201 yokes... To be honest i did assume the engine to be a core only but i also wasnt looking for a engine, i was after the other stuff.... i'm glad the engine is working out for you and hopefully it gives you many, many trouble free hours!!
  5. You can reach out to Mitchell directly if it is a Mitchell tach, i did this last year and they where extremely helpful.
  6. It is the plane in Georgia, I agree. wonder if it sold?
  7. Anyone in here have the hi bid for N4722P that was being advertised as a closed bid auction? looks like a nice plane but that is a hard way to sell something….
  8. Hello, I am looking for a 710064-501 pilot side yoke shaft, if anyone has one... Thanks,
  9. Call Lasar, that have ones worthy of an Acclaim
  10. If one cylinder has a higher EGT then the rest wouldn’t that mean it is potentially running with either more air or less fuel then the other 3 cylinders? if fuel has already been ruled out I would check and double check for a source of addition air. fyi, I a, late to this party and not nearly as well versed as other who have commented.
  11. i am still curious at to the $34K worth of repairs at annual.....
  12. Flew to Grove City Pa 26D today to do some shopping and eat. I made 3 Mooney on the ramp, a very nice lookin Acclaim (I think), my C, and a C rotting away shamefully.
  13. i sent you a message, thanks and i am still in need i will be very intrested Thanks,
  14. I am looking for a set of 201 style yokes, I know it’s a long shot but figured I would ask if anyone has a set they are looking to part with. Thanks!
  15. Seams like a good deal for someone @ $65K! I enjoyed your youtube video's, what's next?
  16. N-800BS im sorry, I grew up in the late 80s early 90s…..
  17. Awesome!! very cool
  18. Where are you located? you might be able to get a lending hand to help you look over the plane before you invest to much time…
  19. Nice looking E, I have a 66 C w N number 5992Q. Funny how Mooney must have just got the next number available when they sold a new plane back then. good luck with the sale!
  20. Well we got it working, had to unbolt the mag to get the sensor in. Jetdriven, thanks for the advice, tried it but in the end it was easiest to just pull the mag.
  21. I honest do not prefer the digital/LED tachs . I have a JPI and like the read out on it but for now i want to retain the analog tach. Robert Hicks please let me know if you find your old one. Thanks,
  22. After trying unsuccessfully to install the RPM sensor on my 0-360 C model it appears that the mag needs removed to install the sensor. The is a vent plug that is very easy to access on the "top" of the mag but it is apparently only for timing and inspection, the vent plug that gives access to the rotating magnet is on the other side of the mag and pretty close to the rear accessory case. Is this in line with what everyone else has experienced?
  23. Robert hicks, thanks and [please let me know. Kerry, if i can find a used on i plan on sending my existing one out to get "fixed". Thanks!
  24. My tach cable gave up, anyone have one they are looking to part with after a panel upgrade? It’s for a C… thanks
  25. Well I got the 818 and 805 back from Kevin, everything is working as designed! He turned around the parts FAST and was great to deal with. thanks for the help everyone!
