  1. Haven't been to Lodi but midway down runway 7 it gets rockin! 7 doesn't get used much because wind is usually blowing like a big dog down 25. Certainly cracks and weeds coming through.
  2. I guess it's never a problem on landing because I have the yoke all the way back. Yoke that is! Lol
  3. Most runways in my area are relatively friendly to Mooney's. I have pretty much new shock disks on my plane. Maybe 175 hours to be exact. Today I was taking off from Rio Vista and I swear I didn't lift off but bounced into the air. At roughly 55 MPH the nose is really bouncing but it just isn't ready yet of course. I tried holding the yolk back a bit like a soft field take off but don't think it helps. Thoughts?
  4. Looks like new they run about 349.00
  5. I'm hip to what your saying. I once went through three rebuilt carbs on a 172. Almost killed me. I finally told them I wanted a brand new carb sent direct from the factory. Problem solved! Shoot we had to remove the mags to get the Mooney pump back in.
  6. You are right they are a xxxxx to replace. Not my money but a new pump isn't that expensive and if you went through all that trouble and you got a jacked rebuilt you would not be a happy man. Ask me how I know. LOL
  7. That seems a bit quick compared to mine. I might see 1lb in an hour. If I come the following day I still have pressure.
  8. For better or worse that's what it cost me.
  9. He has a solution for this? Do tell!
  10. I spoke with the tech guy at JPI. He said to spray WD40 and back flush the transducer. Honestly I used carb cleaner instead.
  11. I cleaned my fuel flow transducer and found that my fuel pressure is now more consistent. I then put extra fire sleeve on my fuel line going from firewall to fuel pump yesterday. I took it up to 8500 and fuel pressure was way better but flow still runs up and down. Not sure what this means but if I play with the mixer a bit there are spots where the flow is way more consistent.
  12. Having trouble viewing the video.
  13. Let me know what you find. Except for the missing mine does the same thing.
  14. That's one sexy ride!
  15. I have the JPI EDM 700, JPI FS450 fuel scanner and stock tach and fuel pressure gauge. I have had my fuel pressure gauge wander from 24 to 21 and my fuel flow wander up and down around 0.4. Engine runs perfect. I did try a new fuel pump but no change. I guess I just want to be sure this is normal.
  16. Hey thanks! What I'm trying to figure out is there anybody that is seeing their fuel flow and pressure perfectly steady or does it vary at all?
  17. Anybody have a video in flight showing fuel flow, fuel pressure and cylinder and exhaust temps? thanks in advance!
  18. What indications were you getting that made you clean it?
  19. Is it possible for a sticky paddle wheel in your fuel flow transducer to cause fuel flow fluctuations in flow and pressure? Just a thought before I send my fuel servo out to be tested. Thanks
  20. I want something with the same basic functions but I want the fuel line out of the cockpit.
  21. The stock gauge is kind of funky. Fuel in the cockpit and what not. Susceptible to oscillations by fuel pump pulses that scare the crap out of me over the mountains.
  22. Anybody replace their gauge in their 201 with something better than the stock gauge?
  23. Now that's interesting! I'm into it around 500 bones so far. My avionics guy mentioned today my Elt may be the issue. Said remove the Elt and try the same approach. This only has happened at two airports that are within maybe 40 miles of each other.
