  1. So I tried a different oil pressure gauge with the same twitchy results. Then I landed and hooked the stock one back up. I added one quart of oil and it was solid as a rock. I had 6 quarts when I started. Heck if I know.
  2. How low on oil are you when that happens?
  3. You have my interest!
  4. I have a 77 M20J and the oil pressure gauge has starting twitching. Not digging it. It’s one of those cluster gauges where the oil line connects at the rear. Temp is totally normal. Thoughts?
  5. I bought a 172 once with damage history. Owned it for 12 years, but was never at peace in my mind about it. Promised myself when I bought my Mooney I wouldn’t go down that road. My two cents.
  6. I use 110 MPH. Gear down and 10 degrees flaps about 10 seconds before the final approach fix.
  7. Richard was an awesome guy. When I bought my Mooney, he let me borrow everything he owned so I could overhaul my plane tip to tail. He was a wealth of knowledge and one hell of a guy.
  8. I bought a 172 once with damage history. That feeling in the pit of my stomach never went away. Until I sold it and bought my Mooney.
  9. I usually thread the wire through the plug and twist roughly and inch. Then install the plug, feed the wire though the case. Then try to finish off. So freaking tight . I love the modified screwdriver idea! thanks
  10. It's that time again to change my oil. When it comes time to safety the oil suction screen or drain bolt I just want to poke myself in the eye with a pencil! Seems impossible to get in there. Anybody have any tip or maybe a special tool?
  11. Passed IFR cert. No leaks. Tech says plus or minus three is within tolerance.
  12. Seems like I just noticed it in the last few weeks. Going in for IFR cert tomorrow.
  13. Any of you G5 guys notice a difference in the ships airspeed indicator and your G5? Mine used to be dead on and now I'm seeing a variable difference of plus or minus 3-4 Mph.
  14. Flew three hours today. Gauge couldn't be more steady! I give up.
  15. Just came to mind, I have the old style gauge where a hose hooks up to the gauge.
  16. How many hours did you have on the engine?
  17. Doesn't really do it on the ground of course.
  18. Thoughts on fluctuations in oil pressure reading? Time to overhaul gauge or? 90F935DC-C6B1-4001-955F-FA2DDE64AF2A.MOV
  19. I'm interested. PM me
  20. Do you get the flight director and all the business?
  21. So is the gad 29 just installed under the panel?
