So here’s the story. Pre annual inspection EDM 700 working perfectly. Post annual not so much. exhaust temp on cylinder two not showing any temp. We switch number two probe to cylinder four and now four doesn’t work. Bad probe? That’s what I’m thinking. So I buy a new probe and install it to cylinder four and you guessed it, cylinder four working perfect. Now cylinder two isn’t working. The only thing I did was add a oil pressure option to the EDM 700, which works as advertised. The the heck?

The problem is the top instrument hits the cross member. Not sure if it’s structural or not. Can I put a notch in it or modify to fit maybe? -
Trying to install new EI instruments and at the goal line ran into a fit issue. Top instrument won’t fit because of the cross member shown. Any ideas?

Soon as you power on the wingtip strobes they seem to stay in perfect sync. if you then hit the nav a second later they seem to offset each other. Doesn’t seem worth it to me to run a sync wire.

So I’m upgrading from the stock manifold pressure gauge to the EI digital gauge. The piping coming from the engine looks like 1/4”, then it transitions to 1/8”, then to the gauge. The new one has a plastic hose with 1/4” fittings. Is pressure just pressure? Does it matter if the piping goes up and down in diameter?

Do you guys update your weight and balance when there is a change of maybe two pounds? I'm pulling my power supplies after installing LED's.

Anyone out there replace their wing drains that have bladders? Is that a special part? Looks like it’s installed into the bladder with a hose clamp?

I want to replace my old wingtip strobes and position lights with LED's. What are you guys using? Whelen Orion 650's? Do you need to rewire from rocker switch or use existing wire?

I used a musicians road case and old airplane tire under the tail tiedown. I pulled the engine and swung the gear. As I remember, this worked perfectly.

Ever notice a twitchy oil pressure reading below 6 quarts?

Where do you like to keep your oil level? I usually like it at 6 quarts if I’m doing flights around and hour or two. Long trips I like to start at seven. Do you notice any indications when it falls below a certain level?

Too funny! I met you once at the fuel pump and you told me about your paint job and who did it. I turned a friend on to them and he had a good experience. I would like to take a closer look if you don't mind.
