I think the majority of humans are herd mentality cowards. People scream about pumping a little gas from a hose at a pump but say ZERO when it comes to damaging others property. Selective morals/ethics/values. Being silent when you know something is wrong...selectively. What a load of crap. Being righteous doesn't necessarily make you right.

May Karma come and smite the. May your pristine paint be marred by someone that, for whatever reason, just doesn't care for aviation and you are the target. May they "cam up, black up" and git 'r done. May he who suggests breaking laws and damaging others property have their philosophy on usurping the law smack them squarely between the eyes. BAM!

I have just started getting a repeat issue with my Bose X. Everything is fine until decent. When I start down a weird LOUD whistle like hum of intermittent noise level begins. If I power down and power up it is still there. Next flight they are fine. Any ideas on that? Weird.

I just received my reminder in the mail to renew my driver's license. It discussed that we all need a special band by 2020 or we might not be able to fly on commercial aircraft. Rules and regulations. Burdensome, but necessary for a sovereign country that respects the rule of law. Of course you could choose to not drive an automobile or fly commercial. Choices.

Played 18 last night. Finished up at twilight. Beautiful. I talked with multiple deer through the back nine as we crossed paths. Their coats are beautiful right now. A snapping turtle watched me miss a putt on 13. A Waco was puttering above doing take-offs and landings from a nearby grass field in Amana. Humans and wildlife were co-existing and it was a beautiful thing. Boys were fishing in the pond below the clubhouse. I could hear rock music being played at a nearby RV campground. Nice night for doing what you enjoy doing with Mother Nature serving up a beauty of a sunset for all to enjoy.

Was he there first or the airport? That goes a long way to how I feel about this. It is his private property. Those that say ^%$& the law, as Alan said, are scumbags. Of course, when a pilot hits it there will be lawyers involved then as well. I don't like the guy, but if it is his property and he is not breaking any laws by erecting a flag...Change the law or appease him. Hope the guy that strung up a wire and killed a child has a day of reckoning beyond the law some day. Similar, but very different scenarios.

Brian, I am going to make you feel better. After a Major overhaul I flew with wife and kids to Racine, WI to visit family. I had gotten a replacement plastic panel and it didn't line up with mags. (I didn't know that at the time). I didn't have a lot of time in the Mooney then. (About 100ish hours)? Went to leave and did mag check and the plane kept killing on the left mag. I taxied back and told an A&P at the field what was happening. Repeated with him. We pulled the mag and I drove with the mag down to Poplar Grove (where overhaul had been done) They benched it and it was perfect. WTF? After re-install $ for A&P to pull and re-install I realized I was shutting the plane off on the mag check.....What an idiot... Don't you feel better? Live and learn. But I didn't launch

Alex, that is impressive. Especially if there are some inclines to negotiate. I will pull after fueling to tie downs half for exercise and half because of re-starts in M20E, but THAT is something I would not care to do. Over weekend I had a load (ton and a half) of stone delivered and dumped below our deck. Spread it with a rake and my feet. My ticker works or I would have been supine in the 91 degree heat. Two hours of CB time vs. paying to have it done...

It is only a quart or two and if you don't it is your choice. Let CB's feel they are getting one over on the man with their shenanigans. One's "bad form" is another's game. Those that say it is just a dab need to not worry about it and laugh at the CB's...as well as being happy that they can help CB's feel good. I like to make others feel good from time to time. It is good for the soul. Being a kill joy is no way to go through life. (That is directed at particular folks that are bent on turning "nothing" into something.
