  1. Super funny. I watched it 100 times today and showed it to everybody.
  2. At some point I'd like to take my dogs for a ride in my Mooney. Does anybody have any experience and advice? Are they scared of the noise? Should I use some kind of ear protection? Thank you Bob
  3. That's very nice.
  4. Very nice.
  5. Garmin Pilot. It has very nice sensitivity and reaction time and you can use the AI within the app while navigating. It can be connected to two different devices so it is good double back up. It doesn't work with the iPhone yet. They are working on that.

It is going to be one goergous lady.
  10. I had to google " Frugal ". My excuse is that English is not my first language.
  11. Congratulations on the IR. Very nice. I have got my Instrument written test endorsement today upon completion of the Sportys Instrument Course. I will take the written very soon. I have spent bunch of time on my home made simulator and I am ready to take the CFII up there. I can't wait to do that, hopefully get me IR within few months and join that very exclusive club.
  12. That makes perfect sense now. I have downloaded the manual. Thank you.
  13. I have found a good manual where the adjustment procedures are explained.
  14. Byron, That's how every manual should be written. Very well explained. Thank you very much. I can't wait to test it. I think previous owner mentioned a wandering autopilot. Do you know by any chance where I can find the adjustment procedure description? Thanks
  15. Our guys just push big pile of frozen chunks of snow and ice in front of my hangar. Together with dirt and rocks. I will have to talk to them.
  16. Thanks. I have downloaded the manual and the operation looks pretty straight forward. However I have never used it so I didn't know about the switches. I will test it on my next flight.
  17. I didn't use the autopilot in my M20J so far and I didn't have a opportunity to test it. Today I have tried to get familiar with it on the ground. I didn't even turn master on. I have noticed that two rocker switches for AP On/Off and Heading On/Off feel weird. They don't " click". They didn't give me any resistance when I pushed it to On position and they just return to the position before I pressed them. Both of them behave the same. They are similar in shape as the light and other switches on the panel but they don't feel right. Can anybody advise? Thanks Bob

    No excuses

  19. Ok. Thank you. How about the plastic panels? Is there any way to clean them to get rid of the yellow aged surface? Can you paint it over with some special paint? Or is the replacement only option? Also, the door and baggage door seal. It looks like some kind of fabric and it is falling apart? Thank you.
  20. I would love to have my seats and side panels replaced but of course for reasonable cost. It looks like the new seat covers with the foam padding from Airtex and my labor would cost around $ 1500 for my M20J. Does anybody have any experience with it? How much work is it and is it doable for average handy guy?
  21. My N201QV is my Queen Victoria
  22. Thank you guys for all these advises. It has really big value for us new Mooney and plane owners. Question: Let's say the oil consumption has stabilized and it is about 1qt / 10hrs. You are preparing for 4 hours flight. How much oil would you add? What would be oil level before takeoff considering the time of flight and maybe some reserve?
  23. Where exactly the oil get blown out from? My J is new to me and I had 7 3/4 qt oil in it before I put 4 hours on it mostly in the pattern. I didn't notice any oil on the belly or anywhere else. Where should I look for it?
  24. I have used 0.00039 value for the oil expansion coefficient. I am trying to find out and record my oil comsumption very precisely as the plane is new to me and the engine didn't run too often last few years. So the question is when and how to check the oil level in order to find it out and eliminate the temperature volume change error. Maybe I am over complicating the issue. Thanks.
