  1. Met him when he was driving the BRE Datsun 510 for Pete Brock in the transam 2.5 Litre class. He knew that trail braking and setting up for the long straight was how to get it done. His sidekick, John Morton, could make a brick go fast
  2. Personally, I like flying the O's under 12K, you really dont gain much higher up. Here is one burning a paultry 12.6 GPH bustin along at 179-180 TAS I flew from College Park to Fort Lauderdale a while back. Horsepower when flying LOP is determined by FF*13.9 in the higher compression non turbo's acc'd to Mike Busch, so if your a nerd for wanting a percent, you can build a chart. ROP, all bets are off, just fly it 100 ROP from first cyl to peak, and you will keep the aluminum stout for more than a few flights.
  3. It should be I got them from Mooney when I needed to replace one on my F years ago because the hole for the latch pin elongated and would pop open in flight. the 2nd latch held fortunately. Anyway, let me know if you decide you need it, and we can go from there.

As of today on Foreflight their self serv price for 100LL is $4.82. All events start at 11:30. Future events: November 9, Williston, X60 December 14, Fort Pierce, FPR January 11, Winter Haven, GIF. Please let me know by Thursday if you are going to try to come so I can give the restaurant an approximate headcount. If you tell me you are coming, and can’t come do not worry about telling me, just do not come. I do not want anyone flying for any reason if they shouldn’t. My wife and I got out of dodge (tarpon springs, actually) and spent a lovely few days with Acclaim owner Dan Eldridge and his wife Dori. (thanks again for the kindness Dan) Came back to what reminded me of the backroads at St. Lucia.

  8. Florida hangar space has been premium $ for the last 2 decades, and is only getting worse. Inland, you might find a hangar that doesnt have a 3+ year waiting list and is under 899/month, but good luck with finding availablity and affordability in the high demand populated areas. Might I suggest you start contacting all of the private air parks and see if some home owner might lease you his hangar if he isnt using it?

Unless something is seriously wrong with the linkage system or with the g1000 computer, I can't see how it would actually "drift" Speed changes and air density changes would affect it, as could the g1000 adhrs measuring. Getting a systems test and calibration check in the g1000 might be the place to start. Something simple like resistance on the module connection rack could be the culprit
  14. Not saying this is the cause here. A lot of premature failures are caused by the tube folding over on itself when installed and being "pinched". Make sure you use a talc and partially inflate the tube when installing in the tire.
  15. A lot of times simply tightening the screws on the inboard sender will fix. The gaskets are like me, old and shrunken. Hopefully it doesn't require Paul Becks fully articulating hands and scrapers. He can supply new gadgets and rubber fuel lines. He is good people

I believe the Marriott properties downtown walking distance to American social where the Sat night banquet will be is where most will be staying, but Alex or Dan can confirm.
