I just purchased (used on ebay) an Accu-Trak and TC-100 Gyro.  I had already purchased 201 style yokes and electric vaccuum cut-off valve.  Anyone ever had conversion done from standard vacuum yoke cut-off to electric cut-off?  Anyone ever replaced yoke roll trim with tC-100 turn and bank equipped roll trim?  I would like to discuss...

If you provide an email by PM, I can send you the Brittain drawings for this conversion.  I am also doing it (at my next annual) and have all of the approved data.  It sounds like you have all of the bits, except maybe for the momentary override buttone that goes on the left pilot's yoke cap.

Well, I am finally having the Accu-Trak installed this week.  The main cockpit control had to go under the panel (just to the left of the cowl flaps) as would NOT fit in center stack...sigh.  I had the older (black box round knob) magnetic tracking system in plane, but was inop and I had removed shortly after purchasing.  The tech found a small pneumatic bit from this unit (three male air lines, two wires and a 1.5x3" black rectangle shape and mounting bracket.  I figure this was from the old unit and did basically the same thing as what I installed with Accu-Trak i.e. provided electric ouput from Accu-Track back to the PC system.  I will let those interested in how it goes.  I have seen posts for and against Accu-Trak, but here is what I have invested:

$700 for Accu-Trak less $150 for selling TC-100 from system or $550

$200 for Brittain to yellow tag Accu-Trak

$400 for installation and integration into existing PC

Total: $1150 for a GPS controlled heading Tracker

Not to bad...If it works.

I love my Accu-Trak, but mainly fly with just the heading bug. One is Accu-Trak, one is Accu-Flite, and I never can remember which is which. The autopilot is interfaced with my 430W, and will fly the full approach as long as I control altitude. Don't want to upset the guys in the tower by overflying the field at IAF altitude.

I've the Britain B6 coupled to my 430. Works great. I've called Brittain to see about converting the B6 to a Nav2b (alt hold). 3 AMU to refurb what I have and upgrade to 2B ... not bad ...

The GPS has left and right analog ouputs.  The outputs go from gps (track) to Brittain main control (in cockpit has two devices capable, but only can be precision set to one...so GPS and hope VOR also works decently) then electric ouput from Accu-Trak goes to servo where vacuum is adjusted rudder/aileron's and communicates with PC wing leveler...

Flew yesterday with my Accu-Trac for the first time.  Left and right turn with unit worked perfectly with nice entry and exit when returned to neutral.  The unit tracked well using the GPS just steady track of destination without wandering and overcorrecting back.  I think this will be a nice addition in cruise on two hour flights.  FYI there is a nice complete unit on ebay right now...On a side note I replaced a TKM COM radio with a used (yellow tagged) KX155.  The installation along with the Accu-Trac had a revision on my center stack with trays repositioned...On my flight I had no transponder or Com from the Garmin, sigh...just me or does anybody else repair/upgrade and have a resultant need to fix squaks created from said upgrade?  I know it's all part of aircraft ownership...
