After ten years in a large (20+ planes with indvidual doors) hanger I finally got the call from CID office that a hanger was available in the "East T's)...play harps and angels singing in high reverant tones...The East T's...I had heard of it, but only second hand.  The hangers are private...the WHOLE floor is paved!  There are NO BIRDS...and the roof doesn't leak. $20 bucks more a month...ten for me ten for partner...and the ramp is level no more buns of steel pushing 'er up da mountain.  "We'll take it".

After relocation on Friday PM decided that a look at the belly was in order...last belly cleaning, gulp, Summer 2012.  It wasn't pretty.

Creeper, check.  Safety glasses, hat, old shirt/shorts, check.  Spray bottle with Carbon X and water, check.  Music cranked on car, Check.  Three white towels willing to sacrifice themselves for the cause...check.  In I went.  Spraying and wiping and wiping and spraying....hands over head to point where a welcome visit from a new neighbor (hearing the commotion...) was a break from the overhead pain.  He flys a civil air patrol 172...nice guy.  Good to have nice neighbors...the rumours of the East T's appear to be true.  I have found my Oasis and X-Ray, now waxed, spinner polished and greasey ugly belly cleaned is fit for occupancy.

We are going to like it here.... :D

Nothing like finally getting into your own hangar. Any bets on how long it will take to get it filled up with all the necessary hangar "junk" (I mean, "mementos")?

Life is good for ya. Congrats. I'm still on the individual enclosed hanger list.     I gotta now and go clean bird turd of my wings :( from our community hanger. Tennessee summers are the worst for bird visits.

Congrats . . . but now you're gonna have to be extra careful to not screw up and have a gear-up before you build up another protective layer of belly grease.

That would be "another" gear-up.  There was enough combustible material to be a fire hazard when sparks hit it.  I think I should pick up speed and performance based on what those towels weighed in crud.

New hanger huh...ok first you need a used refrigerator well stocked for those hot afternoons.Than ground transportation...a quad or honda 90 for lunch and potty breaks.A nice 100 watt sound system and depending on space a nice comfy used sofa...hopefully rat proof.Varius avation art ,posters, oil advertisement, mooney parking only sign completes the ensemble.Oh and get some nice lighting...300 watt florescent tube equivalent ,racks for your folding bikes /kayaks etc....
