  1. I have the same problem: The cables -those on the previous pics posted by Airmocha- are rotten. And I don´t want to take everything apart to install new ones without having the parts. And here it comes, I just received a mail from preciseflight: Quote: "Unfortunately, the Vacuum series SpeedBrakes are obsolete and we no longer support them. I have attached an installation manual that may be helpful for you. I am sorry we can't be of more help." They made me an offer to change everything to electrical and would even give me a discount of 500$... I am intending to turn that offer down and ask the forum, who has the drawings or dimensions etc. of those cables? That is no rocket science, but mine are rotten so much, I cannot even use them as a sample... Who can help? Thanks a lot in advance Carsten
  2. BEWARE Hello everybody. I am pretty new to this forum and have also had contact with scammers... I received a mail to "undisclosed recipients" in the mooneyspace. Some s"closedorchidsllc@gmail.com" was selling some avionics and offered them here before putting them to ebay. The story is medical problems, cancer, want to sell everything. Send money to paypal, 50% in advance, rest when merchandise arrives. Prices are good... BUT in Vansairforce I found exactly the same story from somebody warning of scam. Since I found undisclosed recipients I guess, somebody got all the email-addresses of this forum... So be careful
  3. ... and what is REALLY important is the 8.33 Mhz spacing. It is compulsory and you will have a hard time understanding when you don´t... You might hear and be heard, but it is illegal and sounds like the old FM tuners with rotary capacitors, when you dialed them slightly off the correct frequency.
  4. That is not necessary!!! There is a much cheaper/better way: you just change the dial! There are dials, that have hpa and(!) in hg, one little window on the left and another one on the right side. So you don´t need a new altimeter, just an other dial. I had that exchanged still in the US, before I brought my Piper Seneca over here. No big deal!
  5. Hurray, I finally have a Mooney!!! Just bought a 231 project that will need some revitalization... And when I am doing the interior, that is the time to think about a folding rear bench. How did that project go on. Is there an STC existing? Concerning the bikes: that is what I want it for. We are living in Europe and we have foldable bikes and fly to different places and then go on with them. They do a great job to get you to public transport etc.. It is a great way of sightseeing, since there are absolutely no courtesy-cars around here.
  6. Hello, on the internet I found a post by you, offering a TSIO 360 MB or MB1 engine. I am very interested. Please get in touch with me under +491708677555 or by email to Docgott@Phoenix-Immo.de Thank you C. Gott
