Guest Anonymous Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Does anybody know exactly what the PC override button requires for mounting on a non-PC yoke? Mooney wants over $3K to upgrade older M20s to the new style yokes and shafts.
Piloto Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 The PC overrride push button is actually a pneumatic switch. You can replace the button with a panel mounted toggle pneumatic switch like the one at http://www.recycledgoods.com/26420_Clippard_TV-3S_Minimatic%20Pneumatic%20Toggle%20Switch%208.0%20SCFM_.html Just pull the hose out of the yoke and connect it to the panel switch. I found the toggle switch to be more convenient than the push button. José
Guest Anonymous Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Thanks José for the post. I already knew about that option, but I do really like to have the button on the yoke, as I use the PC almost all of the time when not actually turning or landing. I do a lot of IFR and find the stability for short term, hands off very helpful. What I was really looking for was an aftermarket pneumatic switch, I guess, or maybe a Mooney part number for it. RFB
