Fritz1 Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 my electric trim switch, in particular the left side clutch switch has become sticky in the down position, contact cleaner helped a little but I think it needs to be replaced / repaired rather sooner than later, the BK part is 200-09187-0000, think part is $3000 and may not be available, any ideas who has one in stock? The assembly has 3 microswitches that can be replaced which may fix the problem, does anybody have part numbers for these microswitches? Quote
IvanP Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 The microswitches that were in my yoke when I took it apart were labeled: ISXI-T MS24547-1. Multiple sources (Online COmponents, TTI, etc.) and relatively cheap (~ $10-15) This is for KFC150, but I believe that the same trim switch was used for KFC150 and 225. It may also be the spring in the assembly that is tired and causing the switch to stick. Be careful when pushing out the pins to release the springs. Quote
Ragsf15e Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 We have a thread on this with details from ~fall of 2024 if I remember correctly. Quote
Ovation II DX Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 Yes! The individual trim switches are readily available from places such as: Digi Key, Mouser or Newark Electronics. FYI: Additionally, the biggest demise of the AP system for the Bendix KFC series AP’s is the use of the Red Autopilot disconnect switch. EMF high voltage arcing on the contacts either welds them shut or carbonizes them. I change at least 3 per year for customer!! Best advice is if you need to disconnect the AP use the trim switch. Fritz1 Posted May 18 Author Report Posted May 18 good advice, I never use the AP disconnect switch unless there is an emergency, using the AP disconnect switch everything goes out with a big bang, think I found a trim switch but also ordered three 1SX74-T microswitches just in case, to my best understanding there are reset springs in the switch assembly in addition to the microswitches and these loose power, switch worked for 2000h Quote
