Alan N9127M Heat it up a little with a hairdryer (not near fumes) or hot water - it will slip right over. Some people are not using the lanyard anymore, but on the Shaw caps I always did. Losing a cap results in less financial damage than having a cap bang around on the top skin loose in the air.
