I am listing this unit for my good friend and hanger neighbor who does not really embrace the internet!  Frank had this unit professionally installed in his Mooney by Precision Heli-Support at KFFZ in Mesa in 2020 as part of a dual GI-275 install.  It was used as the lower unit as an HSI.  At the time of the installation the Mooney had a mechanical back up electric attitude gyro. In 2022 that electric gyro failed and getting it overhauled or replaced was $$$.  Frank opted to instead install a GI-275 with internal ADHRS instead in the lower position.  That way he still has a back up attitude solution if either of the GI-275’s had an issue.  So now we have the BASE model GI-275 for sale.  It is in perfect operating and cosmetic condition.  Comes with a complete new install kit, original 8130, and sales receipt from Precision Heli.  Will ship in the foam pack box that the replacement GI-275 came in.  Aircraft Spruce has the base model priced at $3295.  I am new to Mooney Space but am pretty active on the Vans Board (vansairforce.com).  My username there is eaglen92ce and I have a long successful history of both selling and buying from others on that site.  Frank and I are located at P19 in Chandler AZ.  We are available in person in the Phoenix area, Face Time, Phone, etc.  Contact byork6652@gmail.com, 602 677 1377 cell.  Email me for photos of the unit, 8130, and sales receipt if interested.  Thanks!

Mmmh, new member, good deal posted.  Saw same ad on VansAirforce.  Could be a scam.  But a little due diligence, Bill York has been registered on Vans for a long time.  N1ZL (shown as Bill's plane above) is registered to a Frank in Mesa (not Bill).  Mesa / Chandler / P19 are all close together.   Can verify that Bill York is a pilot, and that phone number appears to be matched to Billy York.  Bill works in Aerospace.

But lots of information posted, so a little bit more due diligence could raise my thoughst from scam > looks OK > send money.  

Bill, I'm not sure if I am helping or hindering, but this is the process I would go through.

I was thinking along the same lines -- first post with something to sell -- but the OP provided a lot of detail.  If it's a scam, it's the most elaborate and well thought out scam I've ever seen.  I'm betting it's on the level.

There's way too much information on this post for me to think its a scam. The account eaglen92ce on VAF was created in 2009, has plenty of post history, and has the same phone number listed as on this post. A scammer would also never offer to meet face to face.

Thank you for your interest.  Item has been SOLD via the Vans Board.  I appreciate you guys letting me put it on here as well.  As explained in my original text, the unit was my friend Frank's who became a new Mooney order 3 or 4 years ago.  I have been a lurker for awhile on Mooney space and Frank and I have gotten lots of good info here as we got him and the airplane up to speed on Mooney specific stuff.
