I managed to lose a main gear tire on landing this afternoon in McKinney! Planning to depart Wednesday, so I have a little time to work it out. Anyone in the area have a Mooney-sized jack I can borrow? Any recommendations for over-the-counter tire and tube sales?

Thanks!

I’ve found most shops are very helpful for AOG aircraft and I’ve never been up charged for it. I’ve only needed AOG service 3 times in 40 years of flying. Maybe I’m just lucky…. The last time was in May when the gear wouldn’t go up on the Saratoga I was flying.

Steel tube from Lowe’s, small jack should do in a pinch - maybe a jack-stand as backup support. Aircraft spruce in Ft. Worth by Meachum airport can do will call if things are in stock. Not sure if they are open today but Monday they could have it. Aer-o Specialist (Charles) is a great guy. Good shop there @ McKinney…

You are welcome to borrow my jack, or jacks, but I am at RBD on the opposite corner of the area. I am sorry I am totally overloaded right now and can not bring it (them) to you.

Thanks Don! I'm about start to working the phone and figure out my way forward. If I need your jack, I'll message you directly and I would of course drive down to you and return it when I'm done so you wouldn't have to spend any time in the awful traffic between us. I appreciate it.

I know it's late but the harbor freight skinny floor jack works just fine. I've used it multiple times
