Hello guys, I'm the new owner of a M10 Cadet (9771M) and I'm trying to find a few accessories for storing the airplane. I've been doing a good bit or research, but it is tricky to find where some parts of this airplane lean toward Erco specifications, and where some parts move over to the Mooney original replacements. The two things I am trying to determine now are the engine inlet dimensions and the nose wheel bracket. Does anyone happen to know if an Aercoupe towbar is needed for the cadet, or does the nose wheel have the same bracket as the M20 for a towbar? Additionally, does anyone know if the front air inlet shares the same dimensions as the Aercoupe, or was this altered by Mooney?

Any assistance with this is greatly appreciated, as is any other advice you have for a new Cadet owner!

Can't offer any assistance, but I welcome you to MooneySpace.  LOVE that airplane.

Hi Owen.  Welcome to Mooney ownership!  Well sort of..  Al Mooney didn't have anything to do with the M10, but it comes from Fred Weick and that is almost as good.  I have flown all of the variants of the Ercoupe, the Alons and Mooneys are really nice airplanes!

Your M10 shares more with Ercoupe than they do with Mooneys.  So your cowl is identical to the Alon cowl.  And your nose gear is shared with all the Ercoupe/Aircoupe dual fork nose gears.  The Mooney tow bar won't work.

Cheers,

Dan

Hey Dan thank you for the advice and warm welcome! You were dead on right about the Alon cowl and towbar. Thank you for the help!
