MisfitSELF Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Since you're just "buying paperwork" with the STC and not changing anything with your engine, I can't imagine why you can't. The GAMI webpage, however, doesn't specifically answer this questions. It does state that if you have a Mogas STC you can mix it with G100UL but doesn't mention this in regards to 100LL. Anybody know? Personally, it'll be sweet to be able to eventually use both in my IO-360 and I'd be happy to pay a few hundred bucks even if it's just paper once it gets proven out and approved for my engine. Quote
kortopates Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Yes, it's answered in the same answer about mixing with Mogas you mention, question 10 of their FAQ located here https://gami.com/g100ul/GAMI_Q_and_A.pdf: "Yes. Comingling of G00UL Avgas and other gasolines approved for use in your aircraft is specifically authorized in the limitations section of the STCs. 1 Quote

I read that and for some reason only thought it applied to Mogas. Quote
carusoam Posted March 9, 2022 Report Posted March 9, 2022 It would make terrible sense if you couldn’t swap back when needed… +1 For asking for clarification… +1 For Paul’s responses…. Technical documents like these take some experience to understand and use… their writing is done in a particular way for techincal reasons… Draining a tank because it was half full, and you only had the other fuel available… would lead to known disasters… PP thoughts only, not a mechanic… Go MS! 201Steve Posted March 11, 2022 Report Posted March 11, 2022 It’s been tested at various mixture amounts with no signs of trouble Quote
