Yourpilotincommand Posted December 22, 2021 Report Posted December 22, 2021 It’s been on my Christmas wish list…
MikeOH Posted December 22, 2021 Report Posted December 22, 2021 Christmas? Are you sure you don't mean April 1st? 1
EricJ Posted December 22, 2021 Report Posted December 22, 2021 Well, it's available for a lot of non-Mooneys. I did also see that Dynon just got final approval for a big software upgrade that also included approval of their autopilot for Bonanza 36s. They indicate that their Mooney M20 certs should be the next in the pile. This suggests that perhaps the FAA is beginning to move on such things again. 1

RobertGary1 Posted December 23, 2021 Report Posted December 23, 2021 Hasn’t this been “coming soon” for 4 years? 1

JoeM Posted December 24, 2021 Report Posted December 24, 2021 At least this indicates the FAA in Seattle has actually approved an autopilot. That in itself is remarkable. There may be hope yet for us Mooney owners. 1
Utah20Gflyer Posted December 24, 2021 Report Posted December 24, 2021 Yes, for Christmas 2031, but that may be overly optimistic. 2
RobertGary1 Posted December 24, 2021 Report Posted December 24, 2021 Bendix King has been working so hard to get out of the GA world for so long j wouldnt trust them. Getting rid of their dealer network and refusing to support their product would work if there weren’t companies like Garmin doing the opposite.
