Complete Brittain B5 system.  These are considered approach approved.  STC is most likely available from Brittain.  They have been quite generous with this in the recent past. Includes items in the picture plus the altitude hold chamber.  I am told it was all working when removed for upgrade (came from a customers aircraft, but not removed by me).  Servos are leak free.  Gyro spins up on bench.   Altitude hold works on bench.  Note that it does not include the altitude hold servos.  I purchased this system just for those.  I might be convinced to include them, but it would be extra since it is from my critical spares pool.  Feel free to contact me for details if you are interested in buying.  $1500 or best reasonable offer.

Willing to split up as follows:

Rudder or aileron servos:  $125 each SOLD

Matched dynertial and altitude hold:  $700

Turn coordinator:  $300

B5 head with working trim indicator, power supply and DG coupler:  $350

I'm interested in buying your complete B5 system. My aircraft is a 1963 M20C. Would you ship to Europe / Germany? Are some pictures following?

Sorry, somehow I left the picture off.  I would be willing to ship it, not sure how much extra that would be.  Can you PM me your email and I will respond via email?  I can also include better pictures of things.  I think I also have some manuals for this system that the guy included.

Thank you for this quick response. Sounds good. I think shipping to Germany could be extra between 100 … 200$ depending on weight and carrier. My Email … reimer.henschel@online.de

So correct me if my knowledge of Brittain isn't great. The PC on my 1965 E has working servos but the gyro isn't working. (I use it as a trim) will this contain enough for it to hold a heading?

If so, I would be interested since Trio and TruTrak are taking forever.

anyone know which servos they use for the early precise flight brakes and if these will work?

I’m not sure, may be worth a search on the bigger forum or posting.  I suspect these are too small.

This system does heading tracking, nav tracking and altitude hold.  The STC is available from Brittain.  To install this will require some additional parts and requires some patience.  You would want to team up with a mechanic who understands this.  They are great systems and there are folks on this site who can help and have done these upgrades, but it is not a simple “drop in”.  Happy to discuss via phone if it helps.

That would be all I would require and I presume still way cheaper than a digital AP although the issue of future parts might be annoying.

Good idea, we need to work out a good time for a call, I'm in Australia. My number is +61450420424, call me whenever its daylight in Australian Eastern time.

Cheers,

If one happens to be part number 20412-4-0 I'd give it a whirl just to have a spare on hand unless you want to keep it together as a set.

The ones I have are 20424-0-1 and 20420-0-0.  I also have a pair of elevator servos that are much bigger, but I bought this entire system just for those…they are hard to come by.
