AerostarDriver Posted February 21, 2021 Report Posted February 21, 2021 When I bought my airplane it had a Donaldson air filter with a date of 1993, after trying to clean it a number of times, I have convinced myself that it is likely to far gone to save. After spending some time looking for a new Donaldson air filter, I was unable to locate it but I found some recommendations for the Challenger filter on MS and got one ordered. After getting it, I feel like it missing a cover. If anyone has a Challenger filter on an E or F and have pictures of it installed? Quote
MB65E Posted February 21, 2021 Report Posted February 21, 2021 I have one on mine. It’s a weak install. The bracket filter probably does a better filtering job. Too many air gaps in the Challenger to make it work. I might try to work on the frame one day. Bob Belville gave me mine, so it was already fit to his airplane. -Matt Quote
Bartman Posted February 21, 2021 Report Posted February 21, 2021 Mine had the reusable filter when I bought it in 2007 and it was shot. It was not a tight fit and after it folded up and fell into the intake box I did not trust it so we replaced it with the Bracket air filter. Quote
Rjfanjet Posted February 21, 2021 Report Posted February 21, 2021 I have a Donaldson. I'm pretty sure they have to be replaced every 5 years or 500 hours. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted February 21, 2021 Report Posted February 21, 2021 Support the Arizona economy and buy a Bracket filter! Quote
