How here is an uncommon engine failure story.  A nonevent really in a plane like that over friendly terrain for a ski plane - the frozen Lake Champlain near Burlington, VT.  And some friendly ice fishermen with ATV's.

What a great story and a great post! I’m a flatlander now living down in western Florida, and was up in Burlington a couple of years ago on vacation in the summer of 2019. That’s a beautiful lake, but I sure wouldn’t want to land on it in the winter time! (Or the summer either for that matter....). Can’t say I’ve ever had my Mooney towed by a snowmobile either.

The Ti boat ramp is directly across the lake from my old house.  Happy it ended well and sorry I missed it.
