She has the mic mask also, but she gets good saturation (>92%) with a cannula at 23,000' so I don't think she has ever used her mic mask. She is a retired high altitude climber and does really well at altitude unlike myself. I need the mic mask earlier when > 16.5. (i.e. 17K or higher).

PPP's are the Pilot Proficiency Program - a 3 day program of specialized Mooney ground and flight instruction. Pilots earn a flight review and if current can earn a IPC Instrument Proficiency Check. Its a great learning weeked dedicated to improving your proficiency.

To get that mask to work in any capacity, I think you'll need to cut a hole to allow getting your microphone closer to your lips.

I hope you get in! It seems there are always a couple last minute cancellations, but hope something comes through in time to make it worthwhile for you.

Me to,Lela said there’s usually 2-3 cx for one reason another, I’ve been to 10 or so missed last year, flew on three long vacations this summer and totally forgot to send in app. We’ll see..Just got enrolled..
