The little pin that keeps the door from closing seems to be worn out. Take it off the door, slide the two pieces apart and bend the catch spring up a bit.

I will give that a try, thank you!!  I just signed the paperwork today to make it 100% my plane so I'm sure I'll be asking many more Q's as I go along.

I haven’t seen the door closer/opener apart in any of my Mooneys...

it’s been a while...

But there are threads around here that cover the idea...

I believe somebody had some success with the idea... or there was dimensional challenges... :)
