OR75 Posted August 5, 2019 Report Posted August 5, 2019 Anyone installed a Gad 29 in. Location other than the avionics rack in the cone ? In a wing or behind the panel ? It would result in so much less wire Quote
donkaye Posted August 5, 2019 Report Posted August 5, 2019 Yes, My GAD 29B was installed next to the circuit breaker panel on my M20M. I thought I had a better picture, but can't find it right now. But you get the picture. Quote
OR75 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Report Posted August 5, 2019 Thanks That’s a lot of CBs! Looking to meet the attachment to the structure requirement. 4 points attachement Quote
bradp Posted August 7, 2019 Report Posted August 7, 2019 I have a throttle quadrant style J. Mine is sitting just above the quadrant in the lowest position in the center stack. 1 Quote

bradp Posted August 12, 2019 Report Posted August 12, 2019 Attached via 4 screws to a blank in the stack in the same pattern as the old intercom unit was mounted Quote

Don slightly off topic but where you at for useful load now that your fully modernized with regard to avionics ? Quote
OR75 Posted August 12, 2019 Author Report Posted August 12, 2019 Got it. No space in the center stack but my right avionics stack is 75% empty (only transponder there). So ... i will reinstall the old ADF tray i took away about 10 years ago. I knew i had a reason not to throw the KRA-85 system away ! Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted August 12, 2019 Report Posted August 12, 2019 Mine is mounted on the right side of the right stack. Good for wiring, but bad for getting the fasteners in and out. Quote
