The end of this week was fun as we had Mooniac visitors. Thursday @exM20K and his wife drove up from their camp site at Disney for a visit.  They are considering moving from their Airpark home near Chicago to Florida in a few years.  They bought lunch at the Downwind and we gave them the tour of the Airpark.

On Friday @Deb and her husband Dave flew their beautiful Ovation in and I escorted them to our house so they could park their Mooney in front of my hangar.  They brought us a bottle of wine (very nice) and we did lunch at the Downwind again, then gave them the tour as well.  Both visiting couples got to look at my friends nearly complete Lancair IVP (with a working crew as well).  Dave and Deb also got to see my neighbors Stinson restoration project.

As Dave and Deb were leaving, we pulled my Lancair out for a photo of of the two birds. I think it’s kind of neat, one of the fastest production singles ever built staged next to one of the fastest models of an experimental.  Guess kind of like brothers from a different mother.

Really enjoyed the visit Tom and Beth. The scale of the Creek is amazing as compared to our little Naper Aero (LL10). Super nice place with something for everyone.

Tom (@Yooper Rocketman) and Beth graciously invited us to visit them on Friday. They are terrific hosts and we had a great time with them, along with their friends Steve and his wife Patty. They have a lovely home in Spruce Creek (7FL6), a very impressive aviation community. Lots of neat airplanes there besides Tom’s gorgeous Lancair IVPT (turbine).

Tom’s plane is spectacular! The fit and finish is outstanding, and there is meticulous attention to tons of details. It’s amazing that he built such a fabulous plane at his home.

Tom’s hand seems to be improving after an incredibly scary event; we’re hoping he continues with a speedy recovery.

Please don't take this badly because you know I think your Lancair is an amazing and beautiful machine but it just goes to show how beautiful the lines are on a Mooney as it sits beside your Lancair. Mooneys are just plain beautiful airplanes

Is it possible that I saw that plane today?  is it still here?  My friend and I talked about it for a little while

I’m at 42 Lindy Loop.  The hangar door is open almost always when I’m here. Stop by and say high.

That’s why I was a Mooney owner for almost 25 years.  And still love them.
