Unknown Gender Symbol

Never seen this category before on a survey or voters ballot. What does it mean. Gender is the first thing that is known when a child is born. Maybe I am too naive or too old for this new era where things are not what they look like.

Ha!  Too funny Jose and I thought the same thing when I first saw that on here.  I'm guessing that just means someone failed to specify their gender in their profile.  If not sure about what gender you are, then a whole lot of other things become a question too I would imagine.

In the old days you get married before having sex. Today you have children before marriage, if you get married at all. No wonder we have so many family problems. My mother used to spank me when I did something bad and I thank her. Today she would go to jail for doing the same thing.  What happened to the old values.

Amen Jose.  I'm right there with you on that one and appreciate my parents understanding when that was appropriate for my own good even though I know it was hard for them (well, maybe not so hard with a few of the reasons it came to that!   ).  Discipline when appropriate when young equals not much need for discipline later.

With all due respect to those of you who beat other humans or were beat by your loving parents, my parents never laid a finger on us, and both my sister and myself are well developed, successful, productive members of society. While it may be amazing to the closed minded, neither of us have criminal records.

Discipline can take many forms, corporal punishment is among the simplest and least effective. I contend it is the realm of lazy parents and pet owners.
