If any of you have the Harzell "Top Prop" and are subject to the spinner service bulletin...  I was wondering which option you might be taking or considering.  The options are a "normal" shaped spinner in composite in white (to to be painted) or a "stubby" version in polished aluminum.  I currently have a polished spinner which I'd like to keep (it has no cracks), but I feel I need to take advantage of the SB while Hartzell is providing them at no charge.

Any pictures out there of the "stubby" one? Personally, I'd go normal, painted composite I think. It's really a shame thay can't make the one you have work, as it is the best option looks wise.

They have a drawing of both in the SB package, it's shorter, but not that much shorter.  After I'd had it a while I probably wouldn't notice (or care).  I was just thinking that it would be something different than every other Mooney out there and might put somebody off on resale.

If you have a Hartzell propeller model HC-C2YR-1BFP/F7497 on your aircraft under STC SA02414CH-D, you could be affected by this SB. This is a two-bladed "blended airfoil" propeller, somtimes also refered to as the "scimitar" propeller.
