Ragsf15e Posted September 15 Report Posted September 15 Where did you guys learn all this?! My middle school shop classes didn’t cover any of this and these days they don’t even have those limited classes! 1

A 70 year old German machinist who taught me everything about materials, machining, engineering, CNC programming (even though he couldn't use a computer), how to hunt, how to be a man, never to back down from a fight but still remain humble, and when I should not make a sarcastic comment! Mike is still kicking today, over 90 years old. They simply do not make people like him any more. All hail the old timers! 2

Pinecone Posted September 16 Report Posted September 16 I would have loved to take a course teaching lathe and milling. My university had a winter term class. A buddy and I tried to take it, but it got cancelled.
