Collet Chuck and a parting tool... I can hear that delrin singing now.  It makes such a unique sound.

Limited range of collet chucks....    Yep I know I should have made my own.

If yiu have a scroll chuck, it will work. Or make a quick and dirty one from scrap wood to fit these. I'm not home yet . . .

Where did you guys learn all this?! My middle school shop classes didn’t cover any of this and these days they don’t even have those limited classes!

A 70 year old German machinist who taught me everything about materials, machining, engineering, CNC programming (even though he couldn't use a computer), how to hunt, how to be a man, never to back down from a fight but still remain humble, and when I should not make a sarcastic comment!

Mike is still kicking today, over 90 years old.  They simply do not make people like him any more.  All hail the old timers!

On the job training is the best learning. If you learn, you get paid; if you screw up, you're no longer employed.

I would have loved to take a course teaching lathe and milling.

My university had a winter term class.  A buddy and I tried to take it, but it got cancelled.
