Hey all,

I'm looking around for shops to do panel upgrade work (and diagnose a few avionics-based gremlins) on my M20K based near Seattle.  Anyone have experience with avionics shops up in the Pacific Northwest?  Driving distance to Seattle is preferred, but also interested in hearing about farther options--especially if they did good work.

Trevor, if you're reading this, got your info on Spencer via the other thread, thanks.

Call Jim at Cannon located at Arlington. Did a fantastic job on my Luscombe (Garmin comm and PS engineering intercom) and another great job on my Swift (Aspen 1000).  Fair price, and done on time.  It's worth the drive from Seattle!

I see someone already told you about Spencer's (talk to Gary).  We've only had one item installed by them, our GTX345.  We got bids from 4 places.  Two were much higher than Gary.  The only one that was competitive was Pacific Coast Avionics in Aurora, OR; and that was only because they don't charge sales tax.  Gary did the work as promised.  Since ours was the first GTX345 they installed, there were a couple problems I noted after I started up but before I departed.  Taxied back in and after a few phone calls to Garmin, they got everything sorted out and it has worked just fine ever since.

If I can talk my partners into replacing out TC with the G5, I'll definitely give Gary a call.

I really know no information, but I'd call Chad at Avionics Source and see who they recommend.

Hadn't thought to do that, thanks.

Thanks.  I've seen their name come up several times on the board.  Seem to be mostly positive, but a couple mixed reviews.  I appreciate hearing about your experience.
