Htwjr Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 My wife and I flew to the breakfast club yesterday which was at Triple Tree SC-00. It was a beautiful and amazing place that I highly recommend if you ever get the opportunity. They have a 7000' bentgrass runway with an operating WW2 control tower and everything from a P51 to RC planes. There are numerous camp sites and lakes and rolling hills. It has been called the Augusta National of aviation and with good reason. It was our first time there but hopefully won't be the last. Look it up on the net and go check it out. Also the SC Breakfast Club puts up pictures and video usually a few days after events at "flyscbc.com. Quote
ArtVandelay Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 It's private, so unless your doing the SCBC thing, you'll need permission. Quote
Htwjr Posted July 11, 2016 Author Report Posted July 11, 2016 The fellow that gave me a tour said just call them anytime for permission. They have a number of events during the year that are open to the public and a big fly in in September that lasts several days. Quote
DrBill Posted July 12, 2016 Report Posted July 12, 2016 i was planning to go but my copilot backed out. hopefully next time. Bill Quote

Seth Posted July 13, 2016 Report Posted July 13, 2016 What type of Mooney did you fly in with and how was the condition of the field? -Seth Quote

Htwjr Posted July 14, 2016 Author Report Posted July 14, 2016 I flew an M20C but there was an S there as well. Field condition was excellent. Probably better than the average asphalt runway. Quote
